Terms from the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) list of Index Medicus should be used; if suitable MeSH terms are not yet available for recently introduced terms, present terms may be used.

8. Text: All manuscripts must follow generally recognized standards for presenting scientific material. The Introduction should state the subject of the study and the problem; should refer only to the most pertinent past publications and should not be an extensive review of the literature . Methods should accurately and clearly describe methods and materials used and/or the patient population studied and should be written with sufficient detail to permit others to duplicate the work. Results must be concise. Discussion should elucidate the results, relate them to the work of others, and describe their significance, and should be restricted to the significant findings presented. Digressions and theorizing are not appropriate.

9. References: References should follow text and begin on a separate page. They must be double-spaced and numbered consecutively in order of appearance in the text.
